International law firm Allen & Overy is pleased
to announce that Jonathan Brayne will become non-executive Chairman
of its Global Banking practice with effect from 1 May 2003.
It follows the election of current Head of Banking
David Morley as Managing Partner of the firm on 11 December 2002.
Brayne is currently Deputy Head of Banking and a
member of the firm's board. He has been a partner at Allen &
Overy since 1985 and has spent time in the firm's New York and Hong
Kong offices.
Chris Rushton (Managing Partner - Operations) and
Stephen Gillespie (Managing Partner - Strategy) will continue in
their Managing Partner roles for the Global Banking practice.
The management team is committed to building on
the success of the Global Banking practice. Over the last 10 years,
the practice has become market leader in many product areas such
as leveraged finance, asset finance, projects, global loans, and
restructuring. It has partners in 21 international offices. Allen
& Overy was awarded "Banking and Finance International
Law Firm of the Year" by Chambers Global (2002).
