Baker & McKenzie Announces Two New Partners in Russia
Moscow, Russia, 4 June 2003 – Baker & McKenzie announced
today that Vladimir Dragunov and Andrei Soukhomlinov, members of
the Banking & Finance Practice and the Real Estate & Construction
Practice respectively, have been appointed partners in the Firm’s
Moscow office.
Vladimir Dragunov joined Baker & McKenzie’s Moscow office
in 1997 and has since been practicing as a banking & finance
lawyer. Vladimir spent nearly two years in the Finance Department
of the Firm’s London office, starting in summer 2001. He has
broad experience in bank and corporate lending, secured transactions,
pre-export and trade finance, structured finance and securitization,
derivatives, and custody and currency control regulations. Vladimir
earned his Bachelor of Law degree with honors in 1997 and his Master’s
degree with honors in 1998 from the international law department
of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
In 2002, he received an LL.M. degree in Banking and Finance (with
merit) at the University of London (UCL). In addition to his native
Russian, Vladimir is fluent in English and has working knowledge
of German.
Andrei Soukhomlinov joined Baker & McKenzie’s Moscow office
in 1997. He specializes in real estate and construction law. Andrei
has advised on acquisitions and sales of real estate, commercial
property leasing, land use and planning, as well as on the real
estate aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions and lending
secured against real estate. Andrei received his law degree with
honors from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations
(MGIMO) in 1987. He speaks fluent English in addition to his native
Russian.
