New York securitization attorneys appointed partners
New York, NY… January 6, 2003

Baker & McKenzie announced today that securitization attorneys, Boris Ziser and Gilbert Liu, have been appointed Partners in the Firm's New York office. Ziser and Liu joined Baker & McKenzie with Dick Rudder and David Wolin in September 2001, to build an integrated securitization practice catering to the firm's domestic and international clients.

Boris Ziser concentrates his practice in commercial mortgage-backed securities and asset-backed securities, representing both major commercial and investment banks, issuers, purchasers, trustees and bond insurers in connection with public and private
securitizations. Asset-backed transactions include time share interests, auto loans, franchise loans, unsecured consumer lines of credit, receivables, equipment leases, airplane leases, manufactured housing, home equity and home improvement loans and intellectual property. He is a graduate of Oberlin College and received his J.D. from New York University in 1994.

Gilbert Liu represents issuers, underwriters, borrowers, lenders and service providers on private and public structured finance transactions involving a variety of asset classes including collateralized debt obligations, timeshare loans, franchise loans, commercial mortgage loans, home equity loans, residential mortgage loans, FHA Title I loans, distressed debt, government contract receivables, student loans, equipment leases, intellectual property and municipal tax liens. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and received his J.D. from New York University in 1995.
