Banc of America Securities further
expands Global Structured Products group
28 August 2003 LONDON - Banc of America Securities
has today announced the appointments of Andrew Jackson and Afif
Baccouche to the Global Structured Products (GSP) group in London.
Edward Charles, head of European Structuring for
GSP comments: "We are delighted to welcome Andrew and Afif
to our team. The GSP group offers the bank's client base the full
suite of structured credit and tax related investment and borrowing
products, and Andrew's deep technical and market knowledge will
further strengthen our franchise in this arena. Afif has a strong
quantitative background which will be used to develop and risk-manage
new synthetic credit product offerings."
Andrew Jackson joins Banc of America Securities
as a GSP Structurer reporting to Edward Charles. He will have responsibility
for originating and structuring pooled and single name structured
credit products. Jackson previously spent two years at Fitch Ratings,
most recently as a senior director of Credit Derivatives focusing
on structured credit products. In this position he headed a team
rating first-to-default, managed and static synthetic Collateralised
Debt Obligations (CDOs) of corporates, CDO2 and CDOs of Asset Backed
Securities and was responsible for all European rating actions and
assignments for arbitrage synthetic CDOs. Before this Jackson was
a senior ratings analyst for Italian RMBS and UK Prime and Non-conforming
at Fitch.
Afif Baccouche joins Banc of America Securities
as a junior GSP Structured Credit Trader, reporting to Alex Bernand,
global head of Structured Credit Trading for GSP.. In this position,
Baccouche will be responsible for trading correlation products and
developing the Credit Hybrid business. He was previously on Citigroup's
Credit Derivatives Quant desk where he modeled and risk managed
CDOs and CDOs of CDO transactions. Prior to this, he spent a year
at Summit Systems as a Credit Derivatives analyst.
