LONDON - Bank of America has announced the appointment of Robert Croft as
head of Audit for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Croft joins Bank of America after three years as an internal audit
consultant. Prior to this he was head of NatWest's global Wholesale Market
Audit group where he helped change the company's risk management and control
culture. Before joining NatWest, Croft spent nine years at Morgan Stanley
in both London and New York. In London, he established their internal audit
function across Europe. In New York, he headed the financial audit team
before returning to London to head all international audits including
Europe, Asia and Australia.

At Bank of America, Croft will be responsible for providing Corporate Audit
services for EMEA operating entities and branch offices. He will
co-ordinate his activities closely with the other members of the Global
Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) Audit leadership team located in the
US, who have primary responsibility for the product line audits globally,
and will also provide Corporate Audit services of the governance processes
within the region. Croft will report to Richard Roberge, Senior Audit
Director, GCIB Audit Group, who is based in New York, and to William Fall,
President, International, Bank of America.

Richard Roberge comments: "The importance of audit in the current regulatory
environment and the emphasis on strong corporate governance practices should
not be underestimated. Robert brings invaluable experience to the Corporate
Audit division and to the EMEA leadership team. I am sure he will establish
a constructive relationship with his business and risk management partners."
