THE ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF DEBT SYNDICATE

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Financial Markets announces the appointment of Matt Carter as Head of Debt Syndicate.

Matt joins RBS from CSFB, where he was Director, Investment Grade Syndicate (FIG) and Head of EMTNs. Prior to this he worked at DLJ, Paribas and Lehmans, where he had both Syndicate and MTNs responsibilities.

Matt will head the Debt Syndicate desk in Capital Markets, joining John McCabe, Stuart Montgomerie and Jonathan Peberdy, and will report to Robert Jolliffe, Head of Primary Markets Origination and Syndicate. Matt will take up his full responsibilities once FSA registration has been completed.

Commenting on the appointment, Robert Jolliffe, Head of Primary Markets Origination and Syndicate, said: “I am delighted that Matt has decided to join us at this important stage of Capital Markets’ development. Matt’s experience and track record will be invaluable as we continue to grow our origination footprint in the debt primary markets.”
