THE ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND EXPANDS ITS ITALIAN SECURITISATION TEAM

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Financial Markets has made a senior appointment to its Italian Securitisation Team.

Fulvio Pelargonio has been appointed as Director, Securitisation. Based in Milan, Fulvio will report to Mark Hickey, Head of Structured Capital Markets, Italy. Fulvio joins RBS having previously spent ten years at Monte dei Paschi di Siena, where he was Head of Securitisation. Previously Fulvio had held senior positions in a wide range of roles in the capital markets division of MPS Group.

Commenting on these appointments, Philip Basil, Head of Securitisation at The Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “We are extremely pleased that Fulvio has joined us. Having been responsible for the fourteen securitisations closed by Monte dei Paschi in the last three years, he is one of the best known and most respected individuals in the Italian market and is a great addition to our business.”

In addition, Alessandro Mitrovich, Country Head, RBS, Italy, said: “The recruitment of Fulvio demonstrates our continued commitment to build a high calibre capital markets franchise in Italy.”
