PRAGUE: The Prague office of the international law
firm, White & Case, is moving to new premises on Prague’s
“Wall Street” — known for the number of banks
(CSOB, Komercni Baanka, Zivnostenska Banka, and the Czech National
Bank) based there. This is the third office move White & Case
has announced in just three months.
Since the establishment of White & Case in the Czech Republic
in 1991, the Prague office has been in a constant state of growth.
Despite the recent economic slow-down, White & Case, Prague
hired 7 associates and a group of 12 tax advisors including partner
Aleš Cechel in the last 12 months. With 50 lawyers and tax
advisors, White & Case is one of the largest law firms in the
Czech Republic. From June 23, the new office details will be:
Na Príkope 8
110 00 Prague 1
Czech Republic
tel. (420) 255 771 111
fax (420) 255 771 122
“We have continued to expand across Europe
where other firms have retreated,” explained Managing Partner
of White & Case, Duane Wall. “We stated three years ago
that we were following a strategy of developing and expanding our
offices in line with client-led demand for a stronger presence across
the world, and we have certainly carried this strategy through.”
He went on to add, “This growth is reflected in these recent
moves and, coupled with the fact that we are larger in Europe than
we are in the US and consistently highly rated across the region,
reinforces the fact that we are one of the very few law firms who
can truly claim to be a pre-eminent global firm.”
