Westpac and BT appoint Head of Financial Planning
Westpac and BT today announced the appointment of Scott Walters
as the Head of Financial Planning.
Previously the Chief Executive Officer at Merrill
Lynch HSBC, Scott's considerable financial services expertise also
includes 14 years with Deutsche Bank where his numerous roles included
Director of Private Banking, and Director and Head of Private Stockbroking.
As a key member of the Wealth Management team, Scott
will report to both Paul Lilley, General Manager Business and Consumer
Banking at Westpac and David Clarke, CEO of BT Financial Group.
According to Mr Lilley this is a unique position
designed to build closer ties between the Westpac advisory network
and BT.
"With responsibility for developing the strategic
positioning of the advisory network across all Westpac channels,
this role involves leveraging the best of both worlds - Westpac's
Business and Consumer Banking distribution expertise and BT's wealth
management knowledge", said Mr Lilley.
Scott commences his role on 2nd June.
